Design a Poster for Hong Kong Competition
Form 4 student Ma Yuk Wai won a Bronze Award in the “Design a Poster for Hong Kong” competition, which was held by the Tai Po Youth Association and the Tai Po Community Empowerment Organization to celebrate the 27th anniversary of Hong Kong’s return to the motherland. Two other Form 4 students, Ma Yuk man and Wong Yin Yu also excelled and were awarded Merit Awards.

Olympic Knowledge Quiz’ Competition
During the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, our school encouraged students to participate in the ‘Olympic Knowledge Quiz’ competition to inspire their interest in sports and enhance their extracurricular knowledge. Form 4 student Kwok Sze Yu stood out among approximately 80 participating schools across Hong Kong, winning the ‘Outstanding Award (secondary section).’ Our school was also awarded the runner-up for the ‘Most Active Participation School Award.’

the participation certificate for the 2024 Tai Po District Outstanding Student Selection
Form 6 student Wong Yat Yin was awarded the participation certificate for the 2024 Tai Po District Outstanding Student Selection. He was chosen as a participant in the ‘2024 Tai Po District Youth Leadership Training Program’ for secondary school students. By participating in group debates and collaborating with other members to design booth games for the elderly, Wong not only won an award but also gained a deeper understanding of the Tai Po community and culture.

Lantern Design Competition
Our school is dedicated to the artistic development of students and fostering their artistic thinking. Form 3 student Zhang Wen Yu won a Merit Award in the lantern design competition organized by the Fung Ying Seen Koon.

Greater Bay Area Technology Innovation Competition
LHK students achieved outstanding results in the 3rd Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Technology Innovation Competition, winning the third prize (bronze) in the secondary school section for their project “Colorful and Green” and the first prize (gold) for their project “Flying Dragon in the Sky Art Installation.” This competition allowed students to observe life issues from multiple perspectives, combining Internet of Things and artificial intelligence technologies. They utilized their innovative integration skills in STEM to design and create smart technology projects focused on “Smart Communities” and “Chinese Culture.”

Hong Kong Electric New Generation New Power Incentive Award 2024
5A Lam Wai Ting is selected as one of the top 20 students in Hong Kong out of 209 participants, receiving the Hong Kong Electric New Generation New Power Incentive Award 2024. She is awarded a scholarship to pursue her personal goals.

The 13th Yes, I Can US High School Exchange Program Scholarship
Our student, Sit Ho Yi is selected through written examination and two rounds of interviews for the 13th “Yes, I Can” US High School Exchange Program Scholarship. She will participate in a one-year exchange program in the US, live with an American host family, attend the local high school, engage in cultural exchange with the aim of broadening her horizons.

Gen-Z Communication Studio Speaking Workshop
The English Department invites the HKFYG Leadership Institute to organize an English workshop with a theme of ‘Diverse Cultures Around the Globe’, which is promoted by Standing Committee on Language Education and Research (SCOLAR) of the Education Bureau and supported by the Language Fund. In the workshop, students interact with Cultural Ambassadors from different countries, getting to know and learn about their unique cultures and completing various English tasks. They are very responsive and take part in discussions actively.

I Love Korean Songs And Dance Events
Some students collaborate with the Student-LED to organize a spontaneous dance event, allowing everyone to joyfully dance and have a great time in the hall, creating a lively atmosphere.

English activity Stories Before Bugs
Our school library collaborates with Rolling Books and Ki2zoo to hold an English activity “Stories Before Bugs”, conducting a natural animal class. The content includes observation, hands-on contact, and physical appreciation, leading students into the magical world of animals. It teaches important values such as “Respecting for Others” and “Responsibility” and stimulate interest in natural sciences.

Hong Kong Reading for All Day Joint Primary and Secondary School 30-minute Read
To boost students’ interest in reading and fostering the reading atmosphere on campus, the Curriculum Development Institute of the Education Bureau and the Hong Kong Public Libraries (HKPL) of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) jointly organize the “Hong Kong Reading for All Day – Joint Primary and Secondary School 30-minute Read” event on April 23, 2024, at the HKSKH Bishop Hall Secondary School. Our school sent the teacher librarian and three students to participate in the “Reading Manifesto” and “30-minute Read” activities, which were very beneficial.

Vex IQ RobotFight 2024
Our students participate in the Vex IQ RobotFight 2024 and compete alongside schools from Tai Po District, Kwun Tong District and Wan Chai District. The students utilise their knowledge of mechanical modification and programming to demonstrate stable control skills during the competition. The school’s competing teams ultimately achieve the Overall Champion and Overall Runner-up awards in the Junior Division.

MP Weekly Report MaD (Make a Difference)
The MaD team collaborates with HKTA Lee Heng Kwei Secondary School in Tai Po to introduce “Community Changemakers” in STEM classes. Noticing that the students are often buried in their studies with little community interaction, the team invites artists Angel and Fato to help plan the curriculum, starting with warm-up exercises featuring elements of artful thinking. The students venture into the Tai Po Market and the surrounding areas, engaging with the community through their sense of hearing and smell, and documenting various shapes and patterns they observe around them.

Papercraft uses paper as the material, presenting objects within the image through multiple layers to create a sense of three-dimensionality. This is then complemented with a specially made picture frame, which brings out a clear contrast between the subject and the background, highlighting the theme. Students participate in the ” Young Innovators Bazaar 2024″ activity organized by Project WeCan. Students form a student company called “Bingo” to try entrepreneurship, selling decorations themed with bread made by students themselves. They participate in the project exhibition at the Plaza Hollywood, Diamond Hill, 1st floor Star Atrium from 22nd to 24th March 2024

The Best is Yet to Come
Our school is participating in the cheer-up event “The Best is Yet to Come – Boosting HKDSE Students 2024” organized by YMCA of Hong Kong. Students from F1 to F5 have filled out cheer-up cards to cheer on and send blessings to the F6 students and current HKDSE candidates.
